Facilities

New stable block

I am now fortunate to have use of a base to work from. This is a family run livery yard in Hertfordshire where the quality of care of both the horses and the facilities is excellent.

The yard is near St Albans and is close to the cross section of the M1 and M25.

I will be holding clinics, private lessons and taking horses in for schooling.

The photo above shows the newly built stable block which forms the centre piece of the yard.

The yard has two schools. The "small school" is a 40m x 20m sand and Passada style surface with a partial hedge / high post and rail fencing and is where we lunge / long rein the horses. It has good floodlights.

20m x 40m Arena
20m x 60m Arena

This is the larger of the two schools and is a 60m x 20m sand and rubber surface. There are mirrors more or less covering the whole of the short "C" end of the school. These provide a valuable training tool.

The tack room is alarmed and there is hard standing for lorries or trailers when you come in for a lesson.
